shed construction at ruth and bill's

:: april 2009

Long time friends of the Farm, Bill and Ruth decided they needed a new shed for their lawnmower and other tools.  Danny and Mike were more than happy to close our spring season with volunteers at their house.

windows at clarence's

:: april 2009

In November we began installing windows at Clarence's, a project we continued over Holy Week.  The second bedroom in his house now has two brand new windows and he is soon anticipating a new side porch and a few more new windows.

teardown at alberta's

:: april 2009

About two years ago we worked on Alberta's roof, replacing it with tin.  Sadly her house burned out about a year ago when a fire started in her bathroom and consumed her house.  We have been working with Alberta for a few months now, working on doing a complete teardown of her house.  It has been a very humbling experience for all those involved.

shed construction at kris and harry's

:: march 2009

When our community friends come calling we respond to our best ability.  Kris and Harry contacted us wanting some extra storage space so they would have some more room in their house, so we went ahead and planned up a small storage area.  Ok, so 16' x 14' isn't that small, but with the loft that Jordan and Danny built into this shed they should have plenty of storage to come by.

decking at mary's

:: march 2009

Mary's old deck was completely rotted out because it receives little sun and is constantly wet from weather, however it did last about twenty-two years.  Since the floor boards were broken and the frame was in bad shape we decided to work with Mary on tearing down her existing deck and rebuilding something a bit smaller, that will hopefully last another 25 years.

underpinning at john's

:: march 2009

One of our highlights for the winter season - underpinning.  John came to use with an old pool, wanting to use its lining and exterior as underpinning on his trailer.  We couldn't think of a better use of materials, so we went ahead and replaced some insulation under his house and lined the outside of it with the pool siding.

underpinning at marsha and gary's

:: march 2009

Marsha and Gary had a large need for insulation and underpinning on their trailer, so when they called us we were ready to work.  Their trailer is also the fourth that we've worked on in their neck of the woods, near our friends Ellis, Rocky and Donna.
